Finding the right newborn photographer for you – Billingshurst Newborn Photography

Here are my 4 top tips for finding the perfect newborn photographer for you and your family:

1. Is the photographers work consistent?

What I mean by this is, is their editing style, lighting and posing consistent throughout their portfolio? You want to know exactly what type of photos you’ll be receiving don’t want to receive any unwanted surprises when your gallery is delivered

2. Do you like their style?

If you would like a specific style, then start looking with that in mind. For example, my style is neutral, timeless and bright. You might prefer a darker edit so therefore you would need to find someone with this editing approach.

3. Read reviews!

You wouldn’t go to a restaurant before reading the reviews, this is the same! You can really get a sense of the experience and overall service just by reading the reviews.

4. Do they have your due date available?

You will want to make sure your photographer has availability to fit you in. I recommend booking whilst you are still pregnant and as early as 20 weeks. Unfortunately, I have had to turn away newborn clients as my diary is fulled booked and their baby has already been born. When you book in advance, it secures your booking in my diary for whenever baby makes their appearance. This is why I can only book a set amount of photoshoots a month, to leave room for newborn clients.
